Story Bird: Cuey

Cuey is a dwarfed slate lovebird, he is the cutest! Just a few months ago I got a really funny feeling to go out to my aviary and check on all my fids (5 in all) and I saw Cuey playing with one of his favorite toy, a baby doll looking thing with a straw hat on its head. Well he looked kind of funny as I watched him and then I noticed, HE WASN"T PLAYING WITH IT -- He was HANGING by his NECK from the stitching on the hat! I was so glad that God had me go out there and check them out, because if I hadn't I would have lost my Cuey bear! I cut him free and we snuggled for a long while I checked him out to make sure he wasn't cut and his throat wasn't crushed! I called the person where I had bought the toy and told her, she took the rest of the toys like that down and returned them.
