Story Bird: Stormy

I use the baby type links to attach toys in my cages. The other night Stormy got hung in one. It had gotten under her soft palette under her lower beak and into her jaw on the side. I do not know how she was strong enough to squeeze it apart but thank God I was here to free her from it or she would have hung there and eventually broke a wing flailing around or have strangled from  struggling.

Birdsafe Note: Chain links that open up have caused a number of accidents with birds. While bird toy companies sell them as safe, we believe that they should not be given to birds, as stronger birds can get them open.
