Story Bird: Beano

Beano started having breathing problems about 2 years ago.  I took him to the vet,  and he ran all the tests for disease.  Beano was healthy.  He narrowed it down to an allergy.  I had to find out what he was allergic to by elimination.  I started with the seeds first.  Changed to Volkman all natural seeds.  Problem still existed.  I noticed that when I used non-stick cookware,  he really went into respiratory distress.  I threw out the non-stick cookware.  Next,  I found out he was allergic to Downy Fabric Softener,  and perfumes.  Anything that had a strong smell seemed to aggravate him,  but the non-stick cookware was the big culprit.  His breathing improved when I stopped using the non-stick cookware.
